A coalition that includes the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and Bayer is launching a multi-country patient and clinician survey to evaluate the delivery of care for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).
The questionnaire’s goals are to estimate global and country-specific levels of non-adherence to and non-persistence with anti-VEGF treatments; identify and assess barriers/drivers to adherence and persistence; and provide insights into patients’, physicians’ and allied healthcare professionals’ experiences of nAMD treatment.
The nAMD Barometer Leadership Coalition also includes the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) and the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and counts Professor Paul Mitchell, University of Sydney, and Jude Stern, IAPB, Sydney, among its members.
