New Zealand optical industry support provider OpticsNZ has joined forces with Colliers International for the practice brokering arm of the business.
Now a registered broker with Colliers, OpticsNZ director Stu Allan said given his passion for business brokering, it was a logical next step to partner with a larger company. The move gives him more resources to better support his clients. It also allows him to complete sales and purchase agreements as a registered broker, he said.
After starting in business brokering, OpticsNZ has sold over fifty business since 2009. “I don’t know how to test eyes and most practice owners are not schooled on how to prepare and present their businesses for sale. Having appraised numerous practices over the years, we are now even better positioned to support practice owners who wish to sell or buy a practice.”
All OpticsNZ practice brokering work will now be undertaken as part of Colliers, while its recruitment and locum service will continue as OpticsNZ, run by both Allan and his practice design specialist partner, Elaine Silk, who is also a qualified dispensing optician.
