The annual Ocular Therapeutics Conference (OTC) will celebrate its fifth anniversary when it returns to Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre in Auckland on Sunday 15 March.
Keynote speaker is Professor Stephanie Watson from the University of Sydney. Prof Watson is a cataract, corneal and laser surgery specialist, with eye disease expertise in adults and children. Also known for her ground-breaking research in stem cell treatment for corneas, Prof Watson will give two lectures; Microbial keratitis - Beating the bugs in 2020 and Herpes and the cornea - getting the diagnosis and treatment right.
The one-day programme also includes four other sessions on Anterior segment therapeutics, The rare and the unusual, Of bugs and drugs and Anti-VEGFs and alternatives. Topics will be delivered in 12-minute rapid fire sessions, which will be followed by interactive panel discussions.
