Crowdfunded-smart eyewear developer Lucyd has launched Lyte - sunglasses equipped with Bluetooth speakers allowing the wearers to listen to music and connect with their smartphone’s digital assistant while keeping their ears free and clear.
Lucyd’s Bluetooth technology offers rapid pairing with Bluetooth 5.0, automatic reconnection and clear sound quality for calls, music and podcasts, said the company. Touch controls allow the wearer to answer calls, skip tracks, adjust volume and use voice assistants such as Siri, by simply tapping the glasses. The glasses can also connect to the wearer’s core smartphone functionality by looking up and can be made with standard or prescription lenses.
Next, Lucyd is looking to incorporate a voice-controlled app called Vyrb, which will allow users to listen and respond to social media posts with their voice, without looking at their smartphones.
