Fleye Copenhagen has launched a new collection, Silent Noise – a tribute to Danish silent movie actress Asta Nielsen.
A popular leading lady of the 1910s, Nielsen was one of the first international movie stars and a fashion icon of her time. Old Nielsen movie posters inspired the design team to create an expressive palette, full of colour and attitude. Some designs have a solid dark front with a colourful back, while others are feminine but powerful, almost oversized; others are thin with a strong character. All symbolise Nielsen’s personality and lifestyle, said the company.
