French designer Christophe Pillet has been announced as chairman of the Silmo d’Or jury 2019.
Silmo organisers said the Paris-based interior architect was internationally renowned for his “clear expression, pursuit of simplicity and essential design.” Pillet designed a sunglasses line for Lacoste’s 75th anniversary in 2008 and Vuarnet’s sports and lifestyle collections in 2017. “His point of view promises to be fascinating and committed,” said organisers.
