Specsavers audiology arrives
Specsavers is rolling out its audiology services in New Zealand after introducing it successfully into more than 100 Specsavers stores in Australia.
Announcing the roll-out at the annual New Zealand Audiological Society Conference in early July, Specsavers head of professional services Nick Taylor said the company’s aim was to provide audiology services in all New Zealand Specsavers stores.
He didn’t reveal where or when the roll-out would start but said recruitment had begun with Specsavers Audiology keen to discuss business opportunities with Kiwi audiologists. “We have received a lot of calls from local audiologists, so we are well on our way to bringing the first few audiology partners on board.”
In Specsavers’ home base of the UK, the company has offered audiology services since 2004 and now has more than 900 businesses across Europe. Mirroring the UK and Australian model, the audiology business is based in an existing Specsavers store, with the optical store partners receiving 15% of the audiology business’ revenue.
