The Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society (TFOS) 2020 conference, scheduled for 9-12 September 2020 in Cernobbio, Italy, has been cancelled.
The TFOS board of directors said the difficult decision was prompted by a number of considerations including border restrictions and potential border closures, following a second wave of Covid-19, quarantine requirements and academic institutions’ extended travel bans.
Registered participants and guests will be reimbursed through the TFOS conference secretariat.
The TFOS board said it was looking forward to bringing the TFOS community together again in the future.
