The Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS) has postponed its 2020 face-to-face meeting and will instead host a one-day virtual meeting in November.
“Unfortunately, there is still much uncertainty and travel remains restricted, not just internationally but even interstate. Given this uncertainty, the AUSCRS committee has decided not to hold a face-to-face meeting in 2020. We prefer to focus on holding a successful meeting next year, where the prospects are more likely,” said Professor Graham Barrett, AUSCRS president.
The committee is planning to host ‘Conversation hour’ sessions leading up to the virtual meeting. More information about this and the virtual day will be released soon.
The next AUSCRS face-to-face meeting will be from 20 to 23 October 2021 at Peppers Hotel, Noosa. Registration and accommodation bookings can be transferred to the 2021 dates or refunded.
