The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) is holding a virtual version of its annual meeting on 16-17 May 2020.
“We are excited to offer the same top-tier education and industry engagement that meeting attendees are accustomed to,” said ASCRS meeting organisers. “Your registration includes well over 400 hours of live and on demand anterior segment education, including 18 live streamed sessions covering the latest anterior segment topics and surgical techniques, allowing you to choose the learning pathway that fits your needs.”
Programme chair Dr Edward Holland, professor of ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, encouraged ophthalmologists around the world to register. Although nothing can replace meeting face to face, the virtual meeting will be an “excellent educational event and an opportunity to restart the practice of ophthalmology after Covid-19,” he said.
The virtual meeting will also include live audience polling, the popular ASCRS Film Festival, a digital exhibit hall and more. ascrs.org/annual-meeting
