Julian Knaggs has joined Medix21 as its territory manager for surgical sales.
Having spent more 16 years in ophthalmic sales, Knaggs, whose most recent role was looking after JJ Surgical’s North Island cataract surgery business, said he is looking forward to working with a small, dynamic and customer-centric team. “There are some real gaps in the New Zealand ophthalmic market and Medix21 is working hard to bring meaningful solutions to this space. I’ve also worked with Camille Furnandiz previously, so I know we’ll have a great synergy. We’ll work hard and have some fun doing it too.”
Echoing Knaggs’ words, Furnandiz said she couldn’t ask for a better colleague. “Julian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the ophthalmic world and genuinely cares about his customers and their patients, which fits the ethos we have at Medix21.”
When not at work, Knaggs said he is busy getting fit after winter. “I’m a very average mountain biker and my wife and I get out tramping regularly, enjoying this beautiful country of ours.” He also enjoys catching up with friends at his weekly pub quiz night.
