Alcon Australia and New Zealand has appointed Amin Shahi as product manager visualisation and vitreoretinal, while Jonathan Beh, who joined Alcon in 2016, is the new product manager cataract refractive diagnostics and lasers.
Amin Shahi
Prior to joining Alcon, Amin Shahi held various roles in sales and marketing at AstraZeneca, Abbott, and Becton Dickinson across Australia and New Zealand in cardiac rhythm management and hospital consumables. With a master’s degree in biomedical engineering already under his belt, Shahi is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Sydney, focusing on health and marketing. Value-based healthcare and football are his two passions, he said. “I’m proud to have joined the largest eyecare device company in the world and to be leading the visualisation and vitreoretinal portfolios for Australia and New Zealand.”
Jonathan Beh
A clinical orthoptist by trade, Jonathan Beh was previously supporting ophthalmologists with Alcon’s IOLs, diagnostics and laser portfolio in New South Wales (NSW) and New Zealand. He has also been actively involved in training healthcare professionals in advanced technology and with territory management for the NSW South Coast working for the commercial sales team. In his new role as product manager cataract refractive diagnostics and lasers, he’ll be managing a portfolio of products he's passionate about, having interacted with them as a clinician, a trainer and a sales rep, he said. “It provides me a new challenge and an opportunity to shape resources to better support our customers and the field team in this continually evolving area of ophthalmology.”
